The Big 3-0
Dec. 8th, 2005 09:17 amA reminder that I turned thirty this year, thanks to Something Positive. Every time I think about it (even though it's nearly six months later) I get stressed out about where I am in my life. Sheesh! Stop it, brain! I need to remember that I'm ahead of where I was last year and definitely ahead of where I was five or ten years ago, and that's the best I can do. So what if I don't take over the world until my forties? *grin* Okay, that last bit was silliness.
In other news, I'm ready for my vacation (my job ended in mid-November) to be a vacation (no more sickness!!!). Serious jobsearching will begin in the new year; in the meantime, I want to relax and celebrate life. Y'all are welcome to join me.
I'm also trying to do some writing - a few different projects - but progress has been slow, thanks to the numerous other distractions. I need to come up with a schedule for myself, but I haven't figured it out yet. I really want to get some pieces finished and start submitting them. I've talked about being a writer my entire life - time to get serious about it.
