Nail polish and girly stuff
Jul. 27th, 2004 04:08 pmI'm trying out a new nail polish, called "Mirror Image" by Maybelline, and it makes my nails look like they're silvery plastic, like a cheapo mirror. It's neat and I want to have a LARP character it would be appropriate for. *grin* I also bought some hair dye (Feria 100% Intense Auburn) - hopefully it will turn out nicely.
I recently bought some other cool girly makeup stuff I'm very pleased with. I went to Sephora with my mom and bought some Urban Decay stuff (Goddess eye shadow, a dark blue with a hint of shimmer, and Toxin nail polish, a really cool purple with extremely fine iridescent glitter - shiny shiny, yay!) and Lip Venom, a spicy, tingly lip gloss that I've been wanting to try since I first heard of it. The tingle stimulates circulation, which makes natural lip color more intense (your lips flush) and makes your lips plumper. I really like it, though the tingle took some getting used to (mmm, kinky!), and I don't really like the bubblegum scent they added. It would have been better with no scent or with a warm, cinnamon spice scent. I also got TheBalm Plump Your Pucker lip gloss, in Strawberry My Daiquiri, which is a sheer, shimmery red with a yummy strawberry scent. It also has a bit of tingle to it, but not as potent as the Lip Venom. Anyway, it's all fun stuff, and I've been enjoying all of it with girlish enthusiasm.
